Missionary’s Downfall is one of the popular cocktails for parties. We will be learning how to make this cocktail at home.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 ounce white rum
- 1/2 ounce creme de peche
- 1 large fresh pineapple chunk, about 1/4 cup
- 3/4 ounce lime juice, freshly squeezed
- 1/2 ounce honey syrup (equal parts honey and water)
- 8–12 large mint leaves
- Crushed ice
- Garnish: mint sprig
Instructions
- Take a blender and add all the listed ingredients along with 3/4 cup of ice to it.
- Blend the mixture for about 20 seconds, or until the ice is well crushed and the ingredients are well mixed.
- Take a Collins glass and pour the blended mixture into it.
- Garnish the cocktail with a fresh mint sprig and a pineapple wedge. This adds an extra layer of flavor and aroma to the cocktail.
- To enjoy the cocktail, insert a straw into the glass and serve it chilled.
Notes
The drink’s name make reference to Missionaries in Africa and Asia who operated in Belgian, French, or British Colonies during WW2.
